Civilogistix provided comprehensive civil engineering and site design services for the new Dirty Dog’s Car Wash located in Brooksville, Florida. This project presented several site-specific challenges, including a high seasonal water table and limited space for stormwater management due to the site’s proximity to a creek and regulated watershed area at the rear of the property.
To address stormwater treatment needs, our team designed a wet detention pond that met the strict requirements of the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD). Despite the constrained layout and environmental considerations, we successfully engineered a space-efficient stormwater system that preserved the site’s buildable area while complying fully with SWFWMD regulations. Our permitting process was efficient, resulting in full SWFWMD approval in under six months.
Civilogistix also coordinated closely with the City of Brooksville to address concerns from neighboring residential properties. In response to community input, we prioritized tree preservation by strategically adjusting the site layout to retain a large number of existing trees and minimize environmental disturbance.
This project was completed in partnership with Jesse Staten of PRO Building Systems, the City of Brooksville, and the SWFWMD. We’re proud to have delivered a successful outcome for our client while balancing site constraints, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.
