Civilogistix provided professional engineering design, and construction administration services for the Bent Creek Storage Project in Auburn, Alabama. The project scope included full site, grading and utility plans as well as three phase erosion control plans and access plans. The project consisted of two drive up self-storage facilities and one 3 story climate controlled self-storage building with combined building floor space of over 73,000 square feet.

Due to the project site being located within close proximity to the Auburn University Regional Airport and the steep sloping terrain on either side of the site, maximizing the usable space within the site while keeping grading cost at a minimum and ensuring safe conditions for the adjacent airport were just a few of the concerns faced during the design of this project. We coordinated closely with the City of Auburn’s Engineer team as well as the Alabama Department of Environmental Management to develop a site design that worked to not only maximize the usable space of the land without creating unsafe conditions to the adjacent airport, but also to minimize the environmental impact of constructing site near an intermittent stream all while providing a design that was cost efficient for our client.
