Civilogistix provided professional engineering design services for The Habitat ReStore development located in The City of South Fulton. The project permitting package included permit approvals from The City of South Fulton, The City of Atlanta, Fulton County and The Georgia Department of Transportation. The development included the layout of a 24,000 square foot building, 72 parking spaces, drive aisles, fire access, dumpster pads, stormwater detention facilities and landscape plans for the 3-acre site.
The project site was narrowly shaped with shared access easements on both the northern and southern side of the site as well as an undisturbed stream buffer encroaching into almost a fourth of the developable area of the site making the arrangement of all the desired facilities within the site tricky. Furthermore, additional zoning requirements were imposed on the project due to the development spanning across two parcels of land, both of which were zoned differently as well as the site being located in an overlay district of The City of South Fulton which required abiding by additional strict design requirements. Due to numerous easement dedications for both Fulton County, The City of Atlanta and The City of South Fulton, Civilogistix coordinated closely with each permit authority to provide a design that did not conflict with any of the four permitting authorities’ requirements all while providing a design that met the client’s needs.
